Everyone desires a place to call “Home.” Since many of the children/youth we serve are orphans, they lack a permanent place to live. Once released from the orphanage system, their HIV status and lack of education and skills leaves them helpless, unable to provide for themselves basic necessities – shelter, food, furnishings, etc... More and more are turning to criminal activities and prostitution in order to meet their needs. JPWM aims to assist these at risk youth as they transition from the “old” life into the “new” with a safe, supervised place to live. In this, their own home, they may experience perhaps for the first time, comfort, security and safety. Sponsoring one of these special young people currently costs $420 a month.
